There are various things competing for our worship. In essence, these things are actually desiring our obedience to them. So, please note the the following:

  • Who or what you obey becomes your master.
  • Your master determines what you have access to.
  • As a servant, you have an obligation to serve your master.

In our journey in life, we need to consider the above listed before we yield ourselves in obedience. I think this biblical timely instruction will help us; “Don’t you know that if you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of that one you obey – either of sin leading to death or of obedience leading to righteousness?”

After this question, I think it’s proper to ask ourselves, who then is our master?
